Fifteen minutes is a boundary people recognize
A 15 minute timer shows up in meeting invites, class activities, and workouts because everyone can picture it. The trouble is the picture. Without a clock, fifteen minutes becomes twenty-five and the next person loses their slot. This page opens at 15:00. Press Start when the activity starts, not when you sat down to find a timer. The chime is the handoff.
For exercise, fifteen minutes can be a complete short session or one part of a longer one. It is not a program and not medical advice. If you are following a video, start the timer with the video so the two clocks agree. If you only needed ten, the 10 minute timer is tighter. If the block is twenty, use the 20 minute timer instead of restarting and guessing.
Make the quarter-hour do one job
Name the job: the agenda item, the circuit, the reading, the cleanup of the kitchen counters and nothing else. A 15 minute timer that covers “email and also the slides and also a snack” will ring in the middle of all three. Pause exists for a real interruption. It is not a way to stretch the meeting while you keep talking.
Time left stays correct if you switch tabs, because the page stores the finish time and reads the clock. The computer still has to stay awake, and the tab has to be unmuted if you want the alarm. Test sound before a workout with headphones on another device. Space, R, and F are start or pause, reset, and fullscreen. The length is not saved. Reload and you are back at 15:00.
- Meetings: start when the item starts, and stop talking when it rings.
- Study: one source, not a tour of the desk.
- Cooking: use the recipe’s time. Fifteen minutes is only the reminder.
- Kids’ activities: a visible dial is calmer than “a few more minutes.”
Fifteen minutes is not a date
If the question is “how many days until then,” use days between dates or the countdown timer. If you do not know whether the task takes 15 minutes, time one attempt with the stopwatch and then decide whether this preset is honest. The online timer covers lengths that are not a round quarter-hour, up to 24 hours.
